What Does Santa do in the Summer time?
Have you ever wondered what Santa Claus does the other 364 days of the year he’s not delivering toys on Christmas? Have you ever wondered what Santa does in the summer time, especially in the month of August? Does he go to the beach and work on his sun tan? Does he go on vacation to Hawaii or maybe take a cruise with Mrs. Claus to the Bahamas? Does he take in a few good movies he’s been wanting to see or maybe he reads a good book or two? The truth is, Santa is actually a very busy man by the month of August and is busy preparing the North Pole for the next holiday season.
Getting Ready for Christmas
Making toys for all the good boys and girls in the world is a 24 hour a day, year-long process. Because there is so much work that goes into toy development, designing new toys, reading letters from children, keeping track of who’s been naughty or nice, Santa and the elves at the North Pole are always working year round to make sure each Christmas is better than the last.
By the time August rolls around, Santa has the elves working 12-16 hours a day creating new toys, not to mention going to toy expos all around the world in search of the latest and greatest in toy development. However, the elves never complain because they love their job and want to do everything they can to make the good children in the world happy on Christmas.
How Santa Stays in Shape
While Santa may look like a jolly old fat man, he’s actually in tremendous shape. Do you think a jolly old fat man could deliver toys all around in the world in one night and not be in prime physical condition? While the elves are busy creating new toy prototypes for the holiday season, Santa often uses much of the month of August to exercise, lift weights, and take long walks around the North Pole to get in shape for the holiday season.
North Pole August Tradition
In order to pull off a successful Christmas every year, Santa and the elves have to work very hard all year round to get ready for the next Christmas season. But at the end of every August, Santa rewards the elves, and all the friendly animals living at the North Pole, with a pizza and ice cream party. If you think how much children like pizza and ice cream, you should see how much elves and reindeer do. They love it! They often have contests on who can eat the most pieces of North Pole Pizza in one sitting, but no one’s been able to beat old St. Nick in over a thousand years!
