The North Pole in September
By the time September hits, Santa Claus and all the elves at the North Pole are busy as they can be getting ready for the Christmas season. With less than 3 months until Christmas, Santa and his loyal band of elves must work extra hard to make sure that everything will be ready come December 25th. Whether it’s supervising the thousands of happy elves working long hours to fill their toy orders, or it’s getting the reindeer in shape for their annual voyage, Santa is an extremely busy man come this time of year. But that doesn’t mean its all work and no play at the North Pole, because September is the month of the annual “Reindeer Games”.
Every September, as the summer season, if you can call it that, slowly turns into fall at the North Pole, Santa holds one of the biggest sports extravaganza of the year, The Reindeer Games. The Reindeer Games are a great time of year for North Pole sports fans and gives Santa’s prized reindeer a chance to compete for the title of this year’s Top Reindeer. The games include Long jump, High Jump, Sprint race, Speed Skating, an Obstacle course, and finished off by a 25,000 mile marathon across the entire globe.
Many reindeer compete including some of the most famous reindeer Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, and Vixen, not to mention Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen. Rudulph rarely competes anymore ever since he won the Reindeer games 350 years in row, setting a new all-time Reindeer Games record. While he said in a recent interview with RSPN (Reindeer Sports Network) that he was unsure if was going to compete this year, rumors are swirling around the North Pole that Rudulph desperately wants to get back in the winner’s circle. I guess we shall see.
Naughty and Nice List
September is an important month for Santa, especially when it comes to finalizing this year’s Naughty and Nice list. By the end of September, Santa has a pretty good idea of who will be receiving bountiful presents come Christmas time, and who will be receiving buckets of coal! But if you haven’t behaved as good as you know you can behave by the end of September, don’t worry too much because Santa and his elves update the list all the way up to the magical night of Christmas Eve. But I wouldn’t wait too long to get off the Naughty list and onto the Nice list because once September is over, Christmas is right around the corner.
